Stud You II

Studyou II Student Residence is located in the city of Porto, within the Asprela University Campus. The residence is being built on a site where a large brick chimney remains, serving as a vestige of the area's industrial past. This old chimney stands as a historical landmark that the project aims to preserve and integrate. Brick was selected as the primary material for both the walls of the inner courtyard and the surrounding pavement. The building’s shape, which initially followed an L-configuration, ultimately evolved into a V-like form as a result of site constraints and the regulatory criteria established by the Municipal Master Plan (PDM).
