The Neurocritical Care Unit project, part of the Multipurpose Intensive Care Service (MICS) at Gaia Hospital, was initiated through the philanthropic support of a former patient who wished to give back and express gratitude for the care received. This led to the creation of the Neurocritical Care Unit - an advanced extension of the MICS -marking the third unit of its kind in the country. It stands out for its functional design and cutting-edge technology. The project was designed to provide a spatial layout that ensures full visibility of all rooms, allowing healthcare professionals to continuously monitor every patient. One of the major challenges of this project was carrying out construction work between already completed floors and areas under renovation, all within a fully operational hospital environment.
