Ventura+Partners represented at the 6th Portuguese Building Information Modelling Congress – ptBIM 2026
Jun 23, 26Ventura+Partners was represented at the 6th Portuguese Building Information Modelling Congress (ptBIM 2026), held from 17 to 19 June at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), by Gonçalo de Vasconcelos and Joana Mota.
Recognised as the leading event dedicated to Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Portugal and across the Portuguese-speaking world, ptBIM brings together academics, researchers and industry professionals to discuss the challenges, opportunities and emerging trends shaping the future of digital construction.
The 2026 edition welcomed more than 300 participants and resulted in the publication of 120 peer-reviewed scientific papers. As part of the conference programme, Gonçalo de Vasconcelos and Joana Mota presented several initiatives developed by Ventura+Partners’ BIM & Innovation Department, with particular emphasis on the scientific paper “ArchAI: Intelligent Automation and Generative AI in BIM Workflows within Autodesk Revit.”
The paper introduced ArchAI, an internal Research & Development (R&D) initiative focused on the creation of intelligent automation solutions for BIM environments. The project combines rule-based automation, the progressive integration of Artificial Intelligence technologies, and sustainability-driven principles to enhance project delivery processes.
ArchAI aims to improve operational efficiency, reduce repetitive tasks, and strengthen the consistency, quality and traceability of information throughout the entire project lifecycle, supporting more effective and data-driven decision-making.
